Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Betreat GmbH handles personal data when you visit our website or contact us. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

1. Who is responsible

Betreat GmbH, Sihlwaldstrasse 8, 8135 Langnau am Albis, Switzerland. Company number (UID): CHE-322.848.939.

For any question or request about your personal data, please write to info@betreat.ch.

2. Which data we process and why

Enquiries through our forms

When you use “Build My Event” or “Request an Experience”, we receive the information you enter:

  • Build My Event: your brief, name and email address; optionally dates, destination, group size, company or agency, and budget range.

  • Request an Experience: group size, location, name, company and email address; optionally the experience, date, preferred duration and a message.

Your enquiry is submitted through this website’s forms and delivered to our team at events@betreat.ch and authorised team members. We use Google Workspace (Gmail) to receive and reply to enquiries and send an automatic confirmation email after a form is submitted. We use the information you provide to respond, prepare a proposal, plan an event and manage the related client relationship. HubSpot is used by our team as a CRM, but is not currently connected to this website’s forms or the events@betreat.ch inbox; website form enquiries are not automatically transferred to HubSpot, and emails in that inbox are not automatically logged there. If we change this, we will update this notice.

Contact by email or phone

If you email or call us, we process your contact details and the content of your message to reply to you.

Website visits

When you visit our website, our website platform, Framer, processes technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and information about your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website securely. Framer also provides us with visit statistics, such as the pages viewed and the referring website, without setting cookies.

Analytics — only with your consent

If you choose “Accept analytics” in our cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load to help us understand and improve the website. They may process page views and interactions; Clarity records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement in session replays. We do not send form contents to either tool. Microsoft says Clarity masks text entered in form fields by default, and we have not configured it to unmask that text. Microsoft and Betreat act as independent controllers under Microsoft’s Clarity Terms. Microsoft may use data it collects for its own purposes, including to provide and improve Microsoft products and services and to create profiles for advertising, as described in its Privacy Statement. These tools load only after consent. If you reject analytics, they are not loaded; you can withdraw consent at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Cookies and browser storage

  • _ga and _ga_P1YECET070 — Google Analytics, set only after consent.

  • _clck and _clsk — Microsoft Clarity, set only after consent. Clarity may also set cookies on Microsoft domains, such as MUID and CLID. Session storage: _cltk — used by Clarity during the current browser-tab session and removed when the tab closes.

  • betreat_consent_v1 — remembers your cookie choice in your browser.

  • betreat_session_attr_v1 — for the current visit only: the page you arrived on and any campaign tags. Used in analytics only if you have consented.

  • Temporary form details — when you move from one page to a form, the details you chose are carried over in your browser and deleted as soon as the form has read them.

You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

We do not send newsletters. Our website does not embed content from other websites. Links to our Instagram and LinkedIn pages take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

3. Service providers

We do not sell your data. Third parties perform different roles. The providers below process data on our behalf unless we explicitly describe a different role:

  • Framer — website hosting, form submissions and visit statistics.

  • HubSpot — CRM used by Betreat for contact and relationship management. It is not currently connected to website forms or the events@betreat.ch inbox.

  • Google Workspace — our email, including receiving enquiries at events@betreat.ch and sending the automatic confirmation email.

  • Google Analytics 4 — website analytics, only with your consent.

  • Microsoft Clarity — website analytics, only with your consent. Microsoft and Betreat act as independent controllers for relevant data, as stated in Microsoft’s Clarity Terms.

4. Venues and event partners

When we prepare or deliver a programme, we share only the details needed with the venues and event partners involved, such as hotels, restaurants and activity providers. The website itself does not send your data to them.

5. Access and disclosure abroad

Betreat team members access enquiries from Switzerland. Our service providers may process personal data outside Switzerland, including in the European Union and the United States:

  • Framer B.V. (Netherlands) hosts the website on Amazon Web Services and may process personal data in other countries. Its data processing terms provide for standard contractual clauses adapted for Swiss law, or a recognised data privacy framework where the recipient is certified.

  • HubSpot, Inc. (United States) may process personal data in the United States. HubSpot states that it is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing terms also include standard contractual clauses for data subject to Swiss law.

  • Google may process personal data in any country where Google or its subprocessors maintain facilities, including the United States. Google’s data processing terms provide for standard contractual clauses or another recognised transfer solution.

  • Microsoft stores Microsoft Clarity data in its Azure cloud and may transfer it to Microsoft Corporation in the United States.

You can ask us at info@betreat.ch for more information about these transfers.

6. How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and client-related personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, prepare and deliver proposals or events, manage client relationships, maintain business records and meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. For enquiries that do not lead to an engagement, retention is assessed case by case based on the enquiry’s status, our communications and any ongoing business or legal need. We do not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion period to website enquiries. Copies may be held in different systems, including Framer, Google Workspace and, for contacts managed there, HubSpot; managing a record in one system does not automatically change copies in another. Where we no longer need to identify you, we may keep aggregated or irreversibly anonymised information for analysis and service improvement. We delete or anonymise identifiable information when it is no longer needed, except where law requires or permits longer retention.

Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. Microsoft states that Clarity keeps recording playback data for 30 days, and click and heatmap data, labelled or favourited sessions and a random sample of recordings for up to 9 months.

7. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or falsification.

8. Your rights

Under the FADP, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do so, write to info@betreat.ch. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

We do not make automated individual decisions based on your personal data.

9. If the GDPR applies

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to the processing of your data, we rely on the following legal bases: steps at your request before entering into a contract and the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)), your consent for analytics (Art. 6(1)(a)), and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)). In that case you also have the rights to restriction of processing and to data portability, and you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the EU or EEA.

10. Changes

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 21 October 2026. We may update it from time to time. The current version is available on this page.
